Farmer’s State Bank Building

Add to plan Remove from plan

Farmers State Bank was the first bank in Pflugerville, originally chartered in 1906. This first wooden building was destroyed by fire and the current building was built soon afterwards. During the Great Depression the bank closed and reopened as the First State Bank of Pflugerville in 1933. After this bank moved, many other institutions have used this building including the City of Pflugerville, The Pflugerville Pflag, and The Old Prague Market. Several business still use this building today. The cornerstone of the downtown area, many pictures from the early 1900s show this building in its prominent position at the intersection of Railroad and Pecan Streets (credit to: Pflugerville: Another Time, Another Place)
